  1. Wash your hands. If you are wearing contact lenses, take them out.
  2. Get the eyelid cleaning pad of your choice.
  3. Close the eye you’re going to clean.
  4. Scrub your eyelid with a side-to-side motion. Never wipe upward.
  5. Use a fresh pad for another eye as we do not want to spread bacteria or other undesirables in one eye to another. Tear one pad in half and use half for each eye to reduce costs

PS: you may also apply a warm compress to your eyes to help break up any crusts prior to using eyelid scrub pads.
